July is in full swing and while I may be a little late putting the guide together for this month, there is still plenty of time to watch some great ‘80s movies and shows on free streaming channels.
In last month’s First Watch challenge, I watched Last Plane Out. I messaged my bud Wyatt who is a big Airwolf fan and we ended up watching it together. You can hear our review on the Rediscover the 80s Podcast. I’m also starting a First Watch review series on The Retro Network to write some longer reviews of movies I haven’t seen before (including some outside of the ‘80s.) My lead review is about the 1988 Japanese animated film Akira.
For July, I thought it would be fun to watch the original Swamp Thing on Tubi! If I had to guess, I’ve probably seen some of the film on cable in the ‘80s, but I don’t recall a thing about it.
